The Shelly BLU Motion ZB is a compact, battery-powered motion and light sensor that helps your home respond automatically to movement. With Zigbee 3.0 and Bluetooth connectivity, it fits into a compatible smart home system to switch on lights, activate scenes and send notifications without wiring the sensor into the mains.
Its PIR sensor detects movement, while the built-in light sensor helps your automations respond to the brightness of the room. Adjust the motion sensitivity and configure the dark, twilight and bright thresholds so lights come on when they are needed. A compatible Bluetooth gateway or Zigbee hub is required for connected automations and app control.

Place the sensor in a hallway, entrance or other indoor space to trigger lighting when someone walks past. Combine motion detection with the light sensor so the same automation stays inactive when the room is already bright. Through your compatible gateway or smart home platform, you can also trigger scenes or receive notifications when movement is detected.
Use Zigbee with a compatible Zigbee 3.0 hub, or Bluetooth with a BTHome-compatible system. For Shelly Smart Control, use a permanently powered Shelly Gen2 or newer WiFi and Bluetooth device as a Bluetooth gateway. Zigbee and Bluetooth can operate simultaneously, giving you flexibility as your smart home grows.
Adjust motion sensitivity to suit the position of the sensor and configure the light thresholds between dark, twilight and bright. The optional LED gives visual feedback when movement is detected. Beacon mode provides regular status broadcasts for compatible integrations.
The included CR2477 battery offers up to five years of operation, depending on use and settings. Attach the sensor to a clean, dry, smooth indoor surface using the supplied adhesive pad, with a clear view of the area you want to monitor. Keep it away from moisture, heat sources and direct sunlight.
