The Shelly Presence Gen4 is an advanced mmWave presence sensor that detects people even when they are completely still, delivering a new level of accuracy for smart home and building automation. Unlike traditional motion sensors, it can identify true human presence, making it ideal for spaces where people spend long periods sitting, working, reading, or sleeping. With support for Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Bluetooth, and Matter, it integrates seamlessly into virtually any smart home ecosystem while providing reliable, privacy-friendly occupancy detection without the use of cameras.
Using advanced radar technology, the sensor can track up to six people simultaneously across up to ten configurable detection zones, covering areas of up to 42 square metres. This allows lighting, heating, cooling, and automation systems to respond precisely to where people actually are within a room. Adjustable sensitivity settings help eliminate false triggers from pets, children, or robot vacuums, while the built-in light sensor adds additional context by reporting dark, twilight, and bright conditions.
